Quick summary
Maa teaches real spoken Thai — including phrases inspired by BL/GL series, T-Pop lyrics, and viral memes. Lessons combine original writing (curated by the founder), educational commentary on public cultural material (fair use), and — for Phase 2 — licensed partnershipswith studios + creators. We don't rip and rehost copyrighted clips.

Every paid lesson tags its tier internally. If you ever spot a clip or phrase you think shouldn't be on Maa — email hi@maa.app and it's gone within 48 hours, no questions.
What we don't do
- We don't re-host full BL/GL episodes or T-Pop tracks.
- We don't reproduce full song lyrics — only short phrase examples with commentary.
- We don't claim affiliation with GMMTV, Nadao, T-Pop labels, or BL studios. Any name we mention is for educational reference.
- We don't train Maa on your private recordings to teach other users — see Privacy.
Licensing roadmap
- Today (Phase 1): Tier 1 + Tier 2 content only. Educational commentary doctrine applies — short references, transformative purpose (language learning), no commercial substitution for the source.
- At ~50 paid users (Phase 2 start): Begin formal outreach to studios + creators with demonstrated user demand and revenue traction.
- Partnerships shipped: Tier 3 unlocks. Each licensed lesson is labeled “In partnership with [X]” on the lesson page.
Takedown / report
Are you a rights-holder (or someone who saw something off)? Email hi@maa.app with the lesson URL + your relationship to the content. Default response time: within 48 hours. We'll take it down first, talk second — being right matters less than being respectful.
Are clips actually licensed?
No. Maa does not host copyrighted video clips, full lyrics, or paid studio content. Phase 1 focuses on original lessons and short educational commentary that falls under fair use / educational commentary doctrine. Phase 2 will introduce officially licensed content only after partnerships are secured. When a partnership ships, this page will name the partner and the date the deal went live.
Why this page exists
BL/GL fans, T-Pop stans, and the people who made the source material all deserve to know how Maa treats culture. Being explicit on day one is cheaper than being explicit on day 500.
